Business Sewing Training
A two-day business training workshop for 17 sewing ladies was conducted in Murombedzi in June. The training covered critical areas of business, such as understanding costing and pricing of a product, determining a market, and developing customer service skills.

What Can $7 Buy?
For seven dollars (USD), a typical family in Zimbabwe can receive a bag of mealie meal that will provide food for the family for one week. Mealie meal is a coarse flour made from corn or mealies in Southern Africa.
The Drought is Devastating
Southern Arica in general and Zimbabwe in particular, have been hard hit by a massive drought. Zimbabwe has an agricultural-based economy so the nation as a whole has been thrown into a dire food shortage of unprecedented magnitude.
Training Center to Receive Furniture
Two teams are planning to arrive at Home of Hope Murombedzi in April (2024) to continue with the development of the training center. One focus will be to assist the sewing initiative that was started several years ago. The second project will be to construct sewing tables and stools for the training center.
Sewing Project Impacts the Community
In April of 2022, many ladies in the Murombedzi community expressed a desire to learn to sew. After presenting a class in hand sewing, the ladies requested more training.
